This evening, I completed a chapter. Five chapters remain. Five. The remaining chapters, of which there are only five, are coated in red ink. Much work remains, but the bulk of it is pretty straightforward stuff. There will be printing and there will be transcribing, but the end is in sight.
As a reminder, though, I should point out that after these chapters are completed, I will still have to attend to the checklist of other remaining items, and I will still have to read the manuscript again and I will probably make one final set of corrections as I read. I will not be ready to send official query letters for a while, but that time is coming. Oh, yes it is.
