There are many grades of "ready" for a manuscript. There are for me, anyway. They range from "perfect" (which, let's face it, will never happen) to "if someone pointed a gun to my head and demanded that I submit this for publication, I would not die of shame to see it published". This evening, I reached the latter stage. Plenty of work remains, but the hard shit is over.
